Follicular Unit Extraction removes follicular units from the donor area one at a time and places them into thinning or bald areas. It is minimally invasive and leaves no linear scar.
Direct Hair Implantation uses a Choi implanter pen to extract and place each follicle without first creating recipient incisions, giving close control over depth, angle and direction.
Sapphire hair transplant is a variation of FUE in which recipient incisions are made with sapphire-tipped blades rather than steel. The aim is smaller, more uniform incisions.
A beard transplant moves follicular units, usually from the back of the scalp, into the beard area to add density to patchy growth or to reshape the beard line.

Am I a good candidate for a hair transplant?
Good candidates usually have a healthy donor area at the back and sides and hair loss that has largely stabilised. Very early or rapidly changing loss, or thinning across the whole scalp including the donor zone, can make surgery unsuitable. Sending photographs for assessment is the way to find out.
How long does a hair transplant take?
Most procedures run 4-8 hours depending on technique and the number of grafts. Larger sessions are sometimes split across two days.
Is a hair transplant painful?
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia, so you should not feel pain during surgery. Tenderness and swelling in the following days are common and are managed with prescribed medication.
Is a hair transplant permanent?
Transplanted follicles are taken from areas that are usually resistant to the hormone linked to pattern hair loss, so they typically keep growing long term. Native hair elsewhere can still thin over time, which is why a realistic long-term plan is part of the assessment.
